As the universe lives so shall it die, but the "Tao" will eternally exist, the cycle will not perish. On the whole, Chuang-tzu thought is the continuation and development of Lao-Tzu's, which is mainly manifested in that Chuang-tzu inherits the core thought of Lao-tzu—"inaction", as well as the central concept of the "Tao", their essence are same. He advocates rejecting benevolence and unrighteousness, ceremony and propriety, remove all shackles and fetters, make the community and things are back to its nature.
