Resesrch On Chinese Traditional Form's Application In Electrical Appliances Design

After the passed 5000 years'development, the Chinese traditional form art has already moved to the bottom from the peak. Especially by the globalize advancement's aggravating, the modern design caused the Chinese tradition design to decline day by day. The inheritance and development of Chinese tradition has become one of the most important matters to the entire Chinese nation. Because of the thought of"the ant foreign"or"worshipped foreign countries",we have lost the best opportunity to fuse the Western advanced design idea .The goal of writing this article is to discuss the use of tradition shape in the modern design application rule by which used in electrical appliances.And then it discusses the use of traditional shape in the modern design for the second time.The product design has been seen as a system for a long time, and all Chinese traditional form were made by hands or using simple tools ,which has essential difference large industrial machinery products. So in the article I did not select a specific traditional items (such as bronze, paper cutting, etc.), but take traditional Chinese form as a system to break it down, and then try to used the various elements of the system in the design of household electrical appliances. I explore the use of traditional Chinese form in appliance design by using traditional elements in the form, the traditional philosophy and aesthetic in modem design. After all has been done ,I summed he principles and methods that Chinese traditional form using in household electrical appliances design. Specific process is divided into the following four steps:Firstly, in the article I analyzed and summarized the Chinese traditional form essential factor, ideas, esthetic and so on. At the same time I summarized the application present situation of Chinese tradition form using in modern design.Secondly, I sum up the electrical appliance design procedures and methods by concluding and analyzing the procedures and methods modern product design.Thirdly, in achieves of the two points above, I summarized the principle and method of Chinese traditional form using in the system of electrical appliances design and then analyzed the potential impact on the lifestyle after the form used in modern design.Finally, I took refrigerator design as an example in which Chinese traditional form was used. In the example I explored the feasibility of elements, ideas, aesthetic from the Chinese ,at last I summed up the method of Chinese traditional form used in refrigerator design .
