| Design always regards human as its center and exists to satisfy human demands. The emphasis of design varies consistently with human demands in different ages. Since we have entered the information society, the relation between human and objects becomes even more complicated. The attentions people have to pay are not only the appearance and function of the object, but more importantly, is the influence the object has on the mental aspect.In modern society, people want to get back the lost experience and emotion in fast rhythm life. It's not enough that the object only satisfies people's multiple and personal demands, but it's also very important to attract people's comparatively long standing attentions.. And more communication room is needed. The highlight of design has changed from the matter aspect to the mental aspect。And it is the nonmaterial aspect of the product that is under the spotlight.The communication between people and object is discussed, putting the attentions on the nonmaterial aspect of object design. Firstly, different levels of communication between people and object have been analyzed. The geist factors such as reminiscence and intuition, and the product symbol of the consumer appearance are two determining factors in the initial stage of communication. The deeper level of communication is on the base of the Five Feeling, and realized by pleasant interaction experience. Symbiosis is an advanced communication form between people and object. The key of it is the vital process of tailoring, making, and using participating by people, improving the object continually."Subject"matter and"biological"matter is two forms of the symbiosis. The communication between people and object also can be realized by human- matter -human or human-matter- matter -human these two forms.Highlighting the communication between people and object has great meanings to product design. |
