Study On The Reclamation Of Guangdong Overseas Chinese Donation In Republic Of China (1939-1949)

After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, in order to solve the problem of refugees and food issues, Guangdong National Government launched the American Overseas Chinese to donate the money, and the Government used these money to develop the reclamation, settled down the refugees and returned overseas Chinese, and at the same time, they strengthened the management of the people and their education. These reclamation areas continued to be maintained and operated after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. This paper discusses Guangdong's overseas donation reclamation development situation, respectively from the wartime and the postwar, in order to outline the general picture of Guangdong's overseas donation reclamation in the time of the Republic of China. And analysis the background of the reclamation overseas Chinese donation, analysis the role of the Guangdong National government in its policy-making, and analysis its role of the whole process, analysis the role, limits experiences and lessons of the reclamation overseas Chinese donation, expect to give some enlightenments to the current overseas Chinese farms to solve the problem they meet at the present.
