| Since more than 20 years,the study on the sentence-completing condition in modern Chinese within a certain scope and scale,has been relatively fruitful.According to the recent related paper, the study on the sentence-completing condition from style is relatively deficient and weak,but even vacant.Whether context of situation has affect on the sentence-completing condition,if,so, how it affets and why,so on.all these matters need to be explored.So,in this paper,we intend to discuss the sentence-completing condition in the drama speeh in modern Chinese.By restriction, we will deal mainly with the sentence-completing condition of declarative sentences within the corpus of the four drama,Cao Yu's "Thunderstorm" and "Pekingese" and the Lao She's "Teahouse" and "Long-xu fossa".The article examines about 6903 examples of declarative sentences from the four drama in order to induce the sentence-completing condiction exhaustively.Based on the grammar theory of "three flat",we explore the features on syntax,semantics and pragmatics from surface to deep, integrating qualitative analysis with quantitative one,form with meaning,static with dynamic, internal with external,description with interpretation,and so on.We will find the sentence-completing condition in modern Chinese drama roundly,and launch into a detailed explanation for the essential laws and features.This paper includes six parts.The first part sums up the recent research on sentence-completing condition in modern Chinese;the second one examines the actor's lines of Chinese drama by classification and illumination;The third one makes a contrastive analysis between the context lines and the stage dialogue;The fourth one makes a contrastive analysis between the drama style and the political comment style;The fifth one launches into a detailed explanation for the condition of sentence-completing in Chinese drama;The sixth one is the conclusion.The-paper reviews the sentence-completing condition of Chinese drama style across-the-board,and summarizes it's functions and types on the basis of fully description,and reveals the essential laws and features of sentence-completing condition,finally,we explore further the sentence-completing condition from internal to external by comparing the difference between context lines and the stage dialogues,political comment style and drama style.This study helps to reveal in-depth the laws and features of sentence-completing condition in Chinese drama.And it is useful to the research for Chinese information processing by providing experiment data. |
