The purpose of our study is to investigate the characteristics of attentional bias and regulating role of emotional priming. The participants are selected from undergraduates and graduates without anxiety disorders. Materials are common negative Chinese words and threatening Chinese words. Experimental pattern is dot-probe paradigm; Reaction time is used as the index to investigate how emotional priming can regulate attentional bias towards threating words. From our research , we can conclude as follows:1.normal people don't show attentional bias towards positive Chinese words. There are no differences between reactions towards neutral Chinese words and towards positive Chinese words. It indicates that normal people equally allocate attention for neutral Chinese words and positive Chinese words.2.normal people don't show attentional bias towards threatenting chinsese words without emotional priming.normal people react towards probing letter located on the same spot as threating Chinese words, just as fast as towards probing letter located on the same spot as neutral Chinese words. It indicates that normal people equally allocate attention for neutral Chinese words and threating Chinese words.3.negative priming facilitates participants to react more quickly towards threating Chinese words than towards neutral chinsed words , which indicates that normal people allocate more attention towards threating Chinese words. It also means that negative priming makes normal people alert towards threating Chinese words.4.normal people don't show attentional bias towards threating Chinese words with positive priming.Uner the action of positive prming, normal people react towards threating Chinese words as fast as towards neutral Chinese words.
