The Conservative Consciousness In ZhangHenshui's Love Novels

ZhangHenshui is a well—known novelist in the 1920—1930s, and his novels are very popular at that time. In this paper the writer try to find out the popular causes of his love novels by analysising the conservative consciousness in these novels. This consciousness is popular among the contemporary public , espercially among the ordinary citizens. The whole thesis consist of three parts:The preface expounds the reason for the choice of this thesis, the theoretical and the pratical significance of the paper.The first part explores contemporary ordinary citizens' curiosity on the people who has many casual sexual partners, the actress, the prostitutes and interest in love stories. ZhangHenshui's love novels beyond all doubt meet the public's curiosity and intetest.The second part explores contemporary ordinary citizens' view of moral, ethic, and life, the writer finds out that the public inherit tradisional view about these aspect, and how the ZhangHenshui's love novels meet the public's view about these aspect.The last part summarizes the positive and negative factors of ZhangHenshui's love novels by studying the public consciousness at that time. The writer consider that these love novels can attract many readers and adapt for TV play and film mostly because of the public consciousness among the novels.
