Since the publication of Being Digital by American scholar Negropante in China ,the publlic has shown increasing interset in digitization of society in an era of economic globalization.Digitization has beciome a major motivation and the primary feature of the construction and decelopment of the new era.Therefore ,there appeared bold declaration that the digitized era had come.As to the art about film and TV which has just celebrated the 100 anniversary ,the influence of digitization is unprecedented.The functions of digital technology have expanded the connotation and expression of flim art.Despite the excitement brought by digital technology ,wo also noticed some problems in film aesthetics,film culture and film industry.The development of technology is always a two-edged sword.While digital technology is incessantly creating visual miracles,it is likely to be abused.As a branch of art about film and TV,animation art has profited a lot from digital technology in that digital technology extends the expressive field,shorten the production cycle and diversifies the spreading ways.Nowadays we can see some new forms such as 3D animation and flash animation.The layout design which is the intial stage of animation design is also deeply affected by digitization.The advantages and characteristics of digital technology have influenced layout design in such aspects as operating manner,epressive ways,ideation and originality. The present impressive visual effects are benefited by digital technology.However,just as taine says in The Art of philosophy, "The quality of work of art depends on the importance,stability and depth of the presented historical characteristics or psychological features."It is certain that digital technology has enriched the connotation and expression of layout design in animated art.but we can not neglect that essentially digital technology can not determine the art level of layout design.Digital technology itself is just a medium serving art.The value of art lies in the character and style of work of art.The source of art creation is people's imagination,perception and social practice.Due to the application of digitization,industrialized film production tends to be more and more identical.Therefore,while we are putting emphasis on technology,we should pay enough attention to experience and perception of real life.
