Worries About The Future Of Human Beings

In modern society, the issue of the relationships between human beings and technologies has always been one of the main concerns of many scholars around the world. Artificial Intelligence was a well-known American film, which explored the relationships between the technologies and human nature and is worth doing researches further.The analysis about Artificial Intelligence includes three aspects: E-topia, technologies and Humanism. The main thesis is there exists a trend that human beings have a huge advancement on technologies but a decline in spirit. Only should human beings balance the development between the spiritual and material aspects of civilization, the human society could have a better future.The paper consists of the introduction, three chapters and the conclusion.The introduction includes the introduction of the research object, the relevant researches about the issue and the frame of the paper.Chapter one, Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality—E-topia in the Future, includes two sections: the wonder presentation and virtual reality embodied in Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and E-topia of human future society. Section one consists of two parts: wonder presentation and film media, wonder presentation and virtual reality.Chapter two, the Process of the Development of Human Images in the Western Literature, includes two sections: the process of the changes in human images in the western literature and its significance, the extreme development of technologies and the decline in human nature. In section one, the process is divided into three periods according to the dominated space in the western literary works. The first period started from ancient Greece and Rome to the end of 19th century when the geographic space dominated and the literary images developed from the god to human beings; the second period started from the end of the 19th century to the mid 20th century when the psychological space dominated in literary works and the main images were ironic heroes; the third period is modern times of electronic media when cyber space and images of artificial intelligence dominate.Chapter three, the Pursuit of Harmoniousness—Human Beings'Permanent Pursuit of Spiritual Homeland, includes three sections: worries about the future of the human beings in the movie, Artificial Intelligence ; the pursuit of maternal love, the metaphor of the pursuit of spiritual homeland; the pursuit of harmoniousness, the contradictory between the development of the technologies and human nature.In conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages coexist in the development of technologies. The advancement of technologies is a necessary part of human civilization. In order to deal with the relationships between the development of human beings and technologies properly, we should pay the same attention on the material and spiritual aspects of human civilization.
