Body Performance in the art of singing is the exterior outpouring of singer's psychological activities, the means of mobilizing and replaying singer's feeling, and an important channel to convey the connotation and emotion of the work. The skills of body performance can't be achieved overnight, but should be improved by practice. This subject is proposed to do further research on the basic theory of vocal performing arts and to analyze the internal rules of body performance. The thesis adopts the varied approaches of comparative study, empirical analysis and the integration of theory and practice. By utilizing opera and drama artistic forms and analyzing the examples of singing and opera performances, from theory investigation to singing practice, the thesis explores the principles of body performance in the art of singing, and points out some problems deserving more attention in the body performing.
