The Initial Exploration Of Socialist Harmonious Culture

On Oct. 11, 2006, Hu Jintao raised the harmonious culture is the ideological and moral basis for consolidating social harmony on the sixth plenary meeting of the the sixteenth Central committee of CPC. Later, Hu Jintao instructed that it is the theme for the cultural-work to prosper socialistic advanced culture, to build up the harmonious culture, and to contribute for constructing socialist harmonious culture on the meeting of the eighth China Federation of Literary and Art and the seventh China Writers Association on Nov. 10,2006. Recently, on Oct. 15, 2007, Hu Jintao suggested to improve the great development and prosperity of the socialist culture in the meeting of the 17th CPC National Congress.The paper discusses its contents, features and functions, around the theme of socialistic culture ,and shows that what it is faced for China is still those problems, that is, how to know itself culture and how to face the external cultures . Therefore, the paper, which is based on the traditional Wo Hop culture, traces back the traditional culture resources of the modern harmonious culture. Next, it analyses the values for China who wants to build up harmonious society from something about harmonious ideas in the west countries by comparing the differences between the harmonious ideas in the west countries and Chinese traditional Wo Hop. According to this, it clarifies the fundament for building up Socialistic Harmonious Culture is to hold on the socialistic core value system, which is to hold on Marxist indicative status in the Chinese ideology, to promote the development of Marxist Harmony view in China. Finally ,it advances the developing ways of socialist harmonious culture in the view of harmonious social: Firstly, it should carry on the Chinese traditional Wo Hop culture, and promote its modern transformation. Secondly, it should absorb others advanced cultures, and make them into our own. Thirdly, it should hold on Marxist indicative status in the Chinese ideology, and play the spirit supporting role of the Harmonious Culture in the harmonious society.The innovation of this article is aimed at the irreplaceable functions of Harmonious Culture in the process of harmony society building, which is, Value-oriented functions, contradictions resolving functions, and the Innovation -driven functions. At the same time, the author made detail discussions about the comprehensive academic analysis to the concept between Chinese traditional Wo Hop Culture and external harmonious ideas.
