The consonant rhythm matched nasal rhythm in early rhyme map of qieyue system. Along with the changing time, consonant rhythm was arranged with both vocalic and nasal rhythm gradually by the writers of rhythm maps to show popular sound. Later it matched only with nasal rhythm. Historical comparison method internal testification are adopted in this thesis, which are based on the diachronic and synchronic comparison among the nine rhyme maps which show Chinese (north Chinese) to study how consonant rhythm-end changed into other forms and what caused them weaken and disappear.
