LV Xiaqing And "Tangshuzhibi"

The Beisong period was one of the fastest developing times in ancient Chinese, especially in Song Ren Zong period. People were eager to freedom, their minds opened and there were many bachelors who were absorbed in own areas to discuss with the others for explaining individual opinions. Lv Xiaqing was a prominent historical officer, his ideas and opinions took on character represented that era's stream. But historical materials were so quite scarce that about his academic research hadn't been gone deep into stages. Therefore I would try my best to look into the study of this literary sketch–TangShuZhiBi. Analyzing it on the basis of scientific sight and gathering some materials to further research his historical minds and opinions.The prelude I explain his contributions for historiography study on the whole. Then I set forth the aims, methods and significations of the dissertation chiefly. I would review and summarize the former academic compositions which have been achieved about those.The first chapter we would textually research on Lv Xiaqing's life and his age. He was born in better family and his father took on officers. Under the good conditions and education, he was interested in history when he grew up. Under the Song disintegrated, this society was poor and weak, which has many conflicts. All of those questions would lead to his historiography with deeply care consciousness. All would help him achieve his especial historical opinions.The second chapter Lv Xiaqing participated in compiling Xin Tangshu. It is important for him to take part in arranging XinTangshu in his all life. He achieved and contributed to XinTangshu remarkably in many aspects. Mainly, he created the kind of table in the XinTangshu, it was the innovation for XinTangshu. Secondly, he gave plenty of good ideas about the style of Xin Tangshu, such as: accept useful and reject useless historical materials, language applying,the style of compliment and criticism etc.The third chapter"TangShuZhiBi"and"XinTangShu"expression styles (first)."XinTangshu"has many questions on expression styles, such as: accept useful and reject useless historical materials, language applying, the style of compliment and criticism etc. We think the organization for writing the Tang history was big limitation. There are many different opinions of the style about Chunqiu expression in many historians. The literator who wrote history also have much disadvantage, as they often decide something according to own like or dislike or variety style in writing history etc.The fourth chapter Tangshuzhibi and XinTangshu expression styles (secondly).Lv Xiaqing was one of writers who had rewritten the Tang History. During his writing, But these ideas were different from the others, even more conflicted. His manager had refused. So He made these ideas together into a book, named Tangshuzhibi. He expressed his opinion by the cases of Confucian ethic in this book. The book had a great effect on expressing the style about historical events.The fifth chapter was about his the characteristic of historiography. We summarized LV's historical opinions and compilations methods textual research means from his written. Tangshuzhibi his minds reflected intelligence which affected by Chunqiu protruded in many aspects such as legitimacy concept,ethical opinion and so on. LV studied and researched historical materials emphasis the important of the word pay great attention to gather information and declare to innovate in old things. Not only appraise historical events but also fair and square without one's personal feelings or thoughts, these direct straight unprejudiced sciences methods were LV's minds special feature.The final chapter-epilogue main explained LV's other minds and set up his important position in long history, need to solution some questions in the research as well.
