The Classification Of Modern Chinese Adjectives And Some Researches On Related Phenomenon

There are lots of different ways to classify Modern Chinese adjectives. Influenced by the English adjective classification made by Zeno·Vendler, this article tried to divide Modern Chinese into three main parts; They are inactive adjectives, active adjectives and appraised adjectives. Besides, inactive adjectives are made up of natural attribute ones and measurement ones, and active adjectives consist of infirm active adjectives and firm active adjectives. At the end of this article, we research on some related grammar phenomenon according to the classification.
