Nowadays,when design comes to "humanization",it is no longer the designers' personal behaviors.Regardless of whom we design for or who carries on the design, psychology issues are involved.How could design meet users' needs to the full? What psychological motives and esthetic manners do the designers hold during their design process? Questions like these lead to the target of the thesis research that studying the rational development of the City Public Art from the perspective of human.Along with urbanization process and emerging of expense culture in China,the Public City Art has been pushed to the crest of wave.Developing fast though,the Public Art has not really embodied the sense of "public",because of a blur definition and the backwardness of creation ideas,which actually means a variety of problems still exist.As the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is approaching,there's no doubt that the Public Art is a name card that introduces the essence of Chinese culture to the world. How can we make foreigners effectively understand the Chinese culture through Public Art? How can the Public Art of the Olympic Games evoke people's Olympic Games spirit? Based on these questions research,the author introduces psychology analysis method into Public Art.In the thesis,the author firstly illustrates the connotation,then the status quo, esp.the insufficiency of public city art development in China,which provides a new angle through the psychology research for the design activity.Artists,public cognition level and behavior researches all propose individual requests to design itself from microscopic standpoints.Some researches in social culture,society psychological characteristic,social environment psychology,and numerous community esthetic psychology and behavior researches become references or even guidance for design,Secondly,the author explains the importance of psychological analysis method in Public Art.Ever since early 1990s,factors like urban social psychology,feelings, understanding and imagination in urban Public Art's esthetic process has been involved in the development trail of Public Art.The author gives penetrative and particular analysis to those factors,as well as environment cognition psychology and the ecology psychology.Besides,the author also points out the potential impact of the environmental psychology on the urban Public Art.Based on theories above,the author further goes to emphasize the elaboration of the function of the consciousness and the urban Public Art through analyzing the consciousness organization,shape organization,visual constant,pseudoblepsia,color consciousness and public artistic relations.And it points out how to reasonably use the color effect,and create the public art which admits for the city.Finally it elaborates person's individuality psychology in the city public art,including the detailed explanation of the aspects of need with the motive,and mood emotion process.In the case study part,the author analyzes the Public Art in Beijing Olympic Games with the above theories as basis.It proposes the constructive opinion to the Olympic Games Public Art.Simultaneously it states the psychology analysis method in the city public art layout.Through the Literature Material Law,to the urban Public Art's psychology characteristic's analysis,inquires the anticipated results which the art behavior's motive of the public artists and the motive creates,namely what kind of public artistic work should we create.We should propose suggestions and opinions to China's public artistic development.The study object of the design advocated is not only to design the work and the public space,but also cares more from psychology analysis angle,tries hard for creating more fitting human nature City Public Art works.Thesis innovation spots:Introduces psychology analysis into the City Public Art,annotates and analysis the urban public art with emphasis in creation process regarding the value of inquisition to person's esthetic psychology,cognition psychology,environment psychology,and social culture psychology and so on.Specifically aims at the psychology analysis utilization of the City Public Art of the Olympic Games,and analyzes and induces suitable design methods and principles of the public art layout from psychology aspects.
