Recent years, as the development of piano's basic teaching in China, the introduction and compiling of piano's initiation teaching books are broad and abundant. The flourishing market of piano's teaching books and it's increasing teaching theories provide more references for teaching and new challenges for the choices of teaching books. And the orientation of Chinese basic education system for piano with the music background in Chinese society is that we need to keep and improve a free piano's teaching environment as well as have the correct standardization guidance of piano's initiation teaching books methods with Chinese features. Therefore, the piano's initiation teaching books with Chinese features is the important foundation of the development of the new education system.This study bases on the background of piano's initiation teaching and education system in China and the United States whose research object is the Chinese and American teaching books generally adopted. It makes a detailed and exact statement from the aspects of structure contents, schedule arrangement, picture format, musicality, interest and creation combined with direct and indirect experience and various theories related with piano's teaching books, teaching methods, teaching psychology and music education to settle and analyze piano's initiation teaching books in China and the United States. Furthermore, it puts forward the new theories and new methods of teaching books'choices, compiling and use during the education period based on the analysis above so that forms the piano's initiation teaching books with Chinese features multi-cultural today.
