| The air raid relieves of Chengdu district was separated from the common social relieves in the period of the War Resistance against Japan. With the aggravation of the air raid of Japanese army, non-governmental organization and individuals first took actions to provide relieves for the wounded and the dead and a special organization was set up in Chengdu city. Municipal government of Chengdu city was playing a dominant role among the main body of relieves. The relationship of the three parts changed with the resisting situations in the aspects of the main body, relieving methods and relieving targets. This paper will study the relationship of the three parts from many perspectives with the relieving property as clue.This paper will start with the beginning of the air raid relieves of Chengdu, The origin of air raid relieves of Chengdu. This part will introduce that Japanese army bombed Chengdu in large scale, Compare Chengdu with other cities of that time, from the promulgation of unitary air raid relieving system to the specific operation of special government organizations and groups and then to the cooperation of many departments later, the air raid relieving system was founded at last and played a significant role in actual combats. The air raid relieving system got supports from the international strengths which drove a positive role in promoting relieving work. Connect air raid relieves with relieving targets.
