Locomotion Modality Design In Multimedia Digital Artwork

This paper introduced the physical locomotion conception into multimedia digital art work, analyzed the unique multimedia digital art work performance, and studied the natural physical locomotion attribute and its characteristic. Profited from the film and animation theory, the paper analyzed the difference and relation in artworks between linear locomotion and non-linear locomotion. Through comparison research, the paper had found the special meaning of locomotion in multimedia digital artwork, and then analyzed the particularity and universality of locomotion modality in multimedia digital artwork.This paper analyzed and synthesized the locomotion conception from the phenomenon of multimedia work locomotion. Takes the multimedia work as a whole, the paper had researched the linear and interactive locomotion modality in multimedia digital art work, analyzed the locomotion of hot-area, scene transformation, interactive surface, navigation. On the research basis of locomotion attribute, the paper analyzed the scope, speed, density, angle of locomotion element. With the above analysis, the paper discussed the holistic locomotion design in multimedia digital artwork. On the guide of holistic locomotion design, the paper proposed a set of method in locomotion element and locomotion attribute design. The paper had also showed some examples to demonstrate the theoretical analysis and forecasted the future locomotion modality development in multimedia digital artwork.
