Bi Feiyu is considered to be the one among the contemporary writers who pays the most attention on the fate of the females. He has successfully created a series of vivid characters.In his works, he investigates the winding and secret feminine mood from a man's insight, describing the joys and sorrows as well as the patience and hurt with the calm and exquisite writing style; he examines the nature of females when they are faced with existence and temptation from his insight of "vicious sex", which is represented by vanity, jealousy, greed, evilness, selfishness and crankiness, describing their unyielding survival ability which is full of choices and breakthroughs, struggles and revolts. He reveals the pain deep in the hearts of females to the readers through his cool and grave writing style and creates numerous female characters in such a poor environment that have to strive for survival, tempted by their desires but have nothing to change the reality. All these represent his peculiar attention and deep understanding of the existence situation and value orientation of the females.This paper consists of four parts:Depending on the novel, the first part mainly divides the countryside females into four different types according to their different statuses and fates: spirits under the influence of male authority, images of mother with various personalities, unfortunate girls in the particular eras, silent females changed by others. Then, he analyzed the desperateness and psychological distortion of the females when faced with the cruel survival pressure from the perspective of survival environment, humanity and personality.Depending on the novel, the second part mainly divides the city females into three types according to their different statuses and fates: female white-collars who want to escape from the reality, females who are addicted to their careers, degenerated females tempted by vicious desires. Then he analyzed how these city females became anxious and confused or even dropped their spirit pursuit.Depending on the novel, the third part mainly divides the prostitutes into three types according to their different sufferings and fates: savior of their families, tool to make a living, counters to strive for power. Based on this, he further discussed the sadness, helplessness and degeneration.The fourth part mainly analyzes the aesthetic features of the female characters of Bi Feiyu through the comparison between him and the other writers, based on which he probes into the reason why the females in the history had so tragic fates.
