In a long period, because of many historical reasons, the literature world in Hong Kong is called Desert of Culture. After 70 years'brew, the literature world in Hong Kong enters a brand-new period in 1980s. Light literature with character of consumptive literature comes into being and develops under the specific social conditions of Hong Kong. Its survival and development is acclimatized to Hong Kong Society with cruel competition and developed economy. This kind of light literature is easily accepted by readers.Li Bihua combines literature and market, the two factors together. She tries her best to combine readability and profundity together. Her creation represents one aspect and one style of Hong Kong Literature creations. It realizes the combination of consumptive literature and literature consumption.The thesis tries to re-survey and re-cognize Li Bihua's literature values with the cut-in of her 5 saga novels. The thesis mainly analyzes the female images in Li Bihua's novels, unscrambles misty female mentality, indistinct gender identity and metempsychosis of female foreordination through her three novels, Green Snake, Farewell My Concubine, and Reincarnation of Golden Lotus. Meanwhile, the thesis also focuses on the mentality of historical root indicated from her novel and tries to explore destiny of female symbolizing Hong Kong exiled around the year of 1997 and the complicated psychology of Hong Kong people through her two novels, Kawashima Yoshiko, and Rouge. From the research above, we can explain that how Li Bihua uses the love and mentality of historical root to sell her cultural products under the background of business, and tells the thoughts of Hong Kong people at the same time.
