A significant role, the material animation has played in the top animation pictures of various animation festivals, and it also finds its outstanding way in commercial films. However, in terms of material animation development, there is a lot to be explored, home or broad. Especially in China, nowadays, as the animation industry has been developing further, there exists a great importance in its research. Material animation is a highly comprehensive animation form and involves many other disciplines, because of which this essay will focus on the summarizing of theories in terms of the area of character shaping and designing that appear in world-wide top stereoscopic material animations, also this essay will concentrate on the material animation's creating and applying, which is beneficial to the China's material animation development in the corresponding filed, and contributes to shaping China's animation education.
