The Analysis To The Poetry Translation In Two Tibetan Editions Of "Dream Of Red Mansion"

This paper analyzes the improper parts of the two edition in theTibetan translation of the "Dream of Red Mansion." The paper mainly reviews how to combine the context to translate the true meaning. Emphisizes and compares the understanding and the expression of the translation and sometimes rises the content to a theoretical height to illustrate and summarizes if possible.Besides the foreward and the summerization, the paper can be devided into five parts. The first charpter simplly introduces the original text and the author, the two Tibetan translations and the translators. The propose of the translation and their translation method.The second charpter : Combing with the characteristic of the Tibetan poetry, simplly analyzes the artistic feature of the "Dream of the Red Mansion".The third charpter: discusses how to translate the true meaning in each sentence of poem combining the context through the analisis of the exemples. The "faith"and "unfaith" mainly depends on the translators proper master and understanding of the original text.The fourth charpter, the poetry always hids it meanings behind the words, Chinese characters are hieroglyph, can be easily devided apart or put together by it form. So that the meaning changes with its deviding and combination. The main character of the poetry in " Dream of the red mansion" is the rhetorical devices, the Tibetan and Chinese people are following two different kinds of language, the way of thinking and expressing is different. So I rise some of my points of view on the use of the rhetorical devices, the idioms and paronomasia by comparazation.Charpter five:Translation must close to the natural language equality of the original text and reappearance of the information.This paper does not fully evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the two translations. Actually only by analyzing the limited poetry sentences can not get an universal conclusion to the translation.The paper only discusses my view from the poetry parts. Since my translation the oritical knowledge is limited, and the insufficient practical experience mistakes and improper parts will be unavoidable. I hope all scholars and experts can point them out for me.
