Social adaptive behavior is the explicit embodiment of individual social adaptive ability and is a main part of one's sociality. It is also the key measurement of social maturity. As it is found in many studies, many children fail to adapt to new environment after entering kindergarten not because of poor intelligence but because of unsuccessful previous adaptive behavior. But there are few educational interventions on children's social adaptive behavior, especially fewer on rural children. Therefore, it is imperative to introduce a practical sociality education for the cultivation and improvement of children's quality of social adaptive behavior. On the other hand, there are few studies on High/Scope curriculum model in China, and the studies are mostly on children's cognition. Theoretical and experimental studies on children's sociality are insufficient in the High/Scope concept. In fact, after analyzing the curriculum, I found that enhancing children's sociality positively plays a very important role in High/Scope curriculum. The purpose of this study is to discover whether education intervention will promote the development of children's sociality, and whether High/Scope curriculum will have more positive influence on children's social adaptive behavior than current curriculum in rural kindergartens. This study takes the children in two middle classes as subjects in Mangzhongqiao Center Kindergarten in Yucheng County of Henan Province. One class is the experiment group and the other control group. The former adopts High/Scope curriculum and the latter conventional one. This study adopts "Children Adaptive behavior questionnaire"as the measurement tool to check the effects of the two curriculums and finally concludes that:(1)Under the two curriculums, children's social adaptive behavior develops with their age.(2)The difference of children's social adaptive behavior between High/Scope curriculum and the current curriculum in rural kindergartens is significant. High/Scope curriculum is superior to current rural curriculum especially on operation, socialization and administration.(3)The difference of children's social adaptive behavior based on High/Scope curriculum among children of different sexes and fosters is not significant.
