Correspondingly, the job stress that people experienced becomes greater. It's no surprise that people attach more importance to the phenomena about it. The occupational diseases that have been existing in the Western developed countries are nowadays more and more protruding in our country, such as various mental and physical obsession triggered by job stress. Scholars at home and abroad have done very much on this problem because of its realistic meaning. Of all these, job burnout has been a study hotspot. In the process of reviewing literature, we noticed that the studies on psychological obsession took the most of this kind, whereas those on physical obsession are rare, less more those that integrately explore these psychological and physical outcomes. Out of the purpose of exploring the relation of psychological and physical obsession, the present study chooses company employees as study object, and applies questionnaires to study the relation of job characteristics, job burnout and self-rated health.On the basis of former literature, the present study chooses Job Demands, Job Resources, Job Burnout and Self-rated Health as study variables. Job Demands refer to Role Ambiguity and Workload; Job Resources refer to Autonomy and Social Support. We apply exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to revise the questionnaires. We also apply Independent-Sample t test and One-Way ANOVA to examine the effect of demographical variables. Finally we use correlation, regression and structure equation model to analyze the relation among Job Demands, Job Resources, Job Burnout and Self-rated Health. The main conclusions are listed as follows:First, Workload, Autonomy and Social Support scale edited in the present study possess good reliability and validity. They can be used as validated implements for company employees.Second, gender has significant differences on Role Ambiguity, Workload and Reduced Personal Accomplishment; marriage status has significant difference on Role Ambiguity; education has significant differences on Cynicism, Autonomy and Reduced Personal Accomplishment; the length of job has significant differences on Workload, Coworker Support, Cynicism, Role Ambiguity, Autonomy and Self-rated Health.Third, Job Demands are significantly related with Job Burnout and Self-rated Health; Autonomy has significantly negative correlation with Emotional Exhaustion and Reduced Personal Accomplishment, Leader Support has significantly negative correlation with Job Burnout, Coworker Support has significantly negative correlation with Emotional Exhaustion and Cynicism; the three components of Job Resources all have significantly positive correlation with Self-rated Health and negative correlation with Role Ambiguity. Emotional Exhaustion has significantly negative correlation with Self-rated Health.Fourth, Emotional Exhaustion mediates Job Demands and Self-rated Health. Moreover, Emotional Exhaustion incompletely mediates Role Ambiguity and Self-rated Health, whereas it completely mediates Workload and Self-rated Health.Last, Job Resources moderates the relation between Role Ambiguity and Emotional Exhaustion; Autonomy and Coworker Support moderates the relation between Role Ambiguity and Self-rated Health. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Job Demands, Job Resources, Job Burnout, Self-rated Health | | Related items |
