The Value And Significance Of Newspapers And Magazines In Communication Of Modern Chinese Poetry In May Fourth Movement Of China

In the beginning period of May Fourth Modern Chinese Poetry, newspapers and magazines which had ever been considered as one of the mass media involved in the birth and development of Modern Chinese Poetry and made great contributions.The main focus of the present thesis is to investigate the communication of Modern Chinese Poetry from the perspective of the press media. In the thesis, the writer analyzes the relations between the press and the poet, Modern Chinese Poetry and the reader in order to make clear the value and significance of newspapers and magazines in communicating practice of Modern Chinese Poetry in the period of May Fourth. The thesis is presented in the following four aspects. Part one focuses on introducing the culture background in which Modern Chinese Poetry was developed in the period of May Fourth, and the condition of the publishing and the press at that time, aiming at supplying us with the backdrop of the birth of Modern Chinese Poetry in order to bring us to the original scene.Part two focuses on the effects which newspapers and magazines have on the disseminators during the period of the communication of Modern Chinese Poetry of May Fourth. It unfolds in three respects: the publishing of verse and the explaining of viewpoint, the .recognizing of aid-value and status endowment, and the positive and negative effects on the modern poems. Part three focuses on the effects that newspapers and magazines have on the communicating information (Modern Chinese Poetry). It is presented from both the outer and the inner sides. The former briefly deals with the effects that the press has on Modern Chinese Poetry in the context of the publishing. And the latter specifically unfolds from the two aspects: the production and theories of Modern Chinese Poetry. Part four mainly discusses the effects that the press has on the readers from the following aspects: contact, education ,cultivation and relection.Then, based on the previous fact, the mass media and the poetry can be cooperated successfully again. Here, the writer calls on the reinforcement of sense of communication in the field of verse, and the advancing of the development of verse from many ways to promote the mass communication of verse to develop more mature gradually. This is the original intention of the thesis, of course,it is also the purpose of the study,at the same time it sufficiently proves that the research has practical value and immediate significance.
