Supernatural tales in Jin and Southern Dynasties were influenced by Buddhism, so formed fictions on Buddhism. After introduction of Buddhism, for the sake of better existing and developing, it must cling to inherent idea of mainland and alter some theories. At the same time, in order to try for more adherents, it must stand out the peculiarity of common customs. So in the fictions on Buddhism,They incarnate character of common customs or mainland of Buddhism .The article analyses some tale styles of fictions on Buddhism, in order to open out the character of common customs or mainland of Buddhism; or expounding them across original theory (for example , coming true tales of sutra and figure of Buddha).The article composes five parts: introduction, three chapters and epilogue.Introduction includes differentiating concepts, introducing particular research actuality, discoursing upon reasons for choosing the subject, investigative content and means.Chapter 1: the analysis of tales of retributions. Buddhism pay attention tocomeuppance, explaining the relations of everything on earth--relation ofretributions. Doing benefaction to obtain good redound, doing evil things to meet with bad redound, it is very clear. After introduction of Buddha, the view of comeuppance affected the ideas of Chinese. There are some stories about No-Killing and Animal Repaying an Obligation and so on. The first story narrates that killing obtains bad redound; the second story narrates that human obtains good redound because of repaying an obligation from animals, they are model tales of retributions.Chapter 2: the analysis of tales of metempsychosis. The standpoint of metempsychosis of Buddhism is a view of translation of being at the base of comeuppance. All flesh turn being wheels in the six districts of the heaven, the world, the brute, the ghoul, the hell on the basis of difference between good and evil. There are some stories about Human Changing Animal, Different Person Turning Other Being and Rising Again and so on. Human Changing Animal and Rising Again are influenced on metempsychoses of six districts of Buddhism, they have the obvious preexistence common customs; Different Person Turning Other Being is one of preexistence stories, it has the character of localization.Chapter 3: the analysis of tales about adoration of power of Buddha. Being a religion of customs Buddhism, there are adorer and drive adorer. Adorer namely its follower, drive adorers are Buddha, Bodhisattva, sutra and have magical power of monk or Buddhist nun. In the Buddhism stories of Jin and South Dynasty, this kind of stories include Kwan-yin adoration, Coming True of Sutra and Figure of Buddha , Magical Power of Monk or Buddhist Nun. These three kinds of stories, they represent supernatural of Buddhist; at the same time, these three kinds of stories have maximum accelerative function in course of striving for adorers among Ru,Tao and BuddhismEpilogue: retrospect again the content of this treatise, emphases and some ideas when I write it. |
