The paper specializes in influences of the three cultural findings in archaeology on Calligraphy in the 20th Century, namely inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells, illegible characters written in bamboos, silk and paper, and remaining characters in Tun Huang. It consists of three independent chapters.Chapter one is devoted to calligraphy features of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells and establishing calligraphy value. In addition, with Calligrapher of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells as a cue, the article reveals the development process of calligraphy of inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells, which gradually expands and prospers in the 20th century.Chapter two demonstrates effects of discovered illegible characters in bamboos, silk and paper on calligraphy ideas, by comparing the differences among calligraphy history, calligraphy learning and calligraphy creation concepts after they are discovered. On the basis of it, the paper analyzes the prosperity of cursive handwriting of Zhangcao appearing in calligraphy field in the 20th century, and innovations in Li character in bamboos and other calligraphy types, and moreover it seeks the reasons why the calligraphists concerned form such styles so as to reveal the effects of illegible characters in bamboos, silk and paper on calligraphy creation.Chapter three analyzes styles and characteristics of principle calligraphy of remaining characters in Tun Huang; confirm the calligraphy value of Buddhist literature recording and its place in calligraphy history, goes deeper into ways calligraphists absorb it and use it for reference and bring to light the influences of remaining characters in Tun Huang on calligraphy creation in the 20th century.The three cultural and archaeological findings provide the 20th century calligraphy world with new (calligraphy) resources and creative inspiration. Calligraphers either adopt them directly or combine them with "Bei" and "Tie", thus Pioneering and innovating, breaking the situation that "Bei" and "Tie" rule in the calligraphy world respectively, and forming the new pattern in the 20th century calligraphy world. By analyzing the concrete concepts, artistic Styles' formation and features of the representative calligraphers, and summarizing kinds of phenomena, the study reveals the 20th century calligraphy's internal evolution path after it is influenced by the three archaeological findings. |
