Canticle Collection of Qin Feng , the folk cantus of Qin, contains ten poems. It is the vivid reflection of Qin residents'local life and is also the precious classic literature used to investigate Qin's history, geography, customs, living style and literature. Generally, every chapter in the Canticle Collection of Qin Feng was written in the course from the eighth year in the era of Emperor Qin Xianggong (B.c. 770) to the twelfth year in the era of Emperor Qin Kanggong (B.c.609), totalled 161 years which go through several emperors, such as Xianggong, Wengong, Ninggong, Chugong, Wugong, Degong, Xuangong, Chenggong, Mugong and Kangong. The time length of it is the longest in Guofeng.The current condition and significance of studying Canticle Collection of Qin Feng So far, there are some following main categories of researches on Canticle Collection of Qin Feng. The first one is to study it as a whole; the second one is to investigate the culture and thoughts of residents in Qin Feng; the third one is to research the artistic characteristic of it. The forth one is to study Canticle Collection of Qin Feng from the angle of edition. However, more articles focus on single chapter of Canticle Collection of Qin Feng. Based on"dual evidence method"proposed by Wang Guowei and"method of studying ancient literature under wider cultual context"by Zhang Chongchen, this study tries to research Canticle Collection of Qin Feng from four aspects: the leitmotiv of each chapter in Canticle Collection of Qin Feng, cultural characteristics of it, artistic characteristics of it, and influence of it. It is expected to promote the level of the study on Canticle Collection of Qin Feng.The leitmotiv of Canticle Collection of Qin Feng"Che Lin","Si Tie","Xiao Rong","Jian Jia"and"Zhong Nan"were written in Kanggong era, but it is impossible to identify the author."Che Lin","Si Tie"and"Zhong Nan"were written by close minister of Xianggong;"Jian Jia"was production of Xianggong;"Wei Yang","Chen Feng"was Kanggong's production;"Quan Yu"was written by Qin's imperial clansman who was downfallen in Kanggong era; while"Huang Niao","Wu Yi"and"Xiao Rong"were the folk works."Che Lin","Si Tie","Xiao Rong"and"Zhong Nan"were written to eulogize Xianggong;"Jian Jia"was to seek the person with ability;"Huang Niao"was to condole with San Liang;"Chen Feng"yearned for the predecessors;"Wu Yi"invigorated moral;"Wei Yang"was a poem that Kanggong missed his mother when sent his uncle off;"Quan Yu"was a poem written to express the jeremiad about the lining condition of Qin's downfallen aristocrat.The cultural features of Canticle Collection of Qin Feng (1) the cultural features of Qin Feng characterize the utility, the centralization of power, and the compatibility. (2) the culture of Rongdi possesses several elments, such as farming, nomadism and gathering; migration and crusage is the essential part of the Rongdi culture; the Rongdi culture communicates with the culture of Han nationality, changing into agriculture civilization. (3) the culture of Zhou Dynasty characterizes advocating education, paying more attention to humanity, alienating superstition, and upholding the personality.The artistic features of Canticle Collection of Qin Feng (1) sorrow, dignity, and combination of rigidity and flexibility are the peculiar linguistic feature. (2) the character of tribute, figuration and exaggeration. The tribute is the preponderant expressing technique;Painting in the poem,feeling in the view is the reappearance of figuration and exaggeration in Qin Feng.(3) the features of repetition.Repeating chapters are the usually-used artistic methods in Qin Feng;Repeating utterance and repeating sentences are always adopted together with repeating chapters.The influence of Canticle Collection of Qin Feng As a part of the first poem colletion in China, Canticle Collection of Qin Feng has a profound effect on the literature in aftertime through its particular artistic pattern, artistic expressing methods, spiritual pursuit of the estheticism, and the realism contained in it.
