The apperence of the obscure poem is known as"growing up of the new aesthetic principle". Imagery incarnated in Shijing,Tang poetry and Song Lyrics and developed in the Modern poetry and Nine Leaves Poetry .Imagery arrived at a new climax in the obscure poem and highlighted new traits.Imagist advocated"for the image and imagery"and published imagery declaration and formulated three principles of Imagism.Obscure Poem doesn`t emphasize the simple imagery, but advocates images and the feelings of the poet better fit. Obscure Poem inosculates the tradition of Chinese classical poetry and the tradition of the modern poetry.The first chapter: Analysis of the Imagery of obscure Poem. In this chapter,based on the approach, the imagery is divided into four main types which are analyzed concretely.The first section is the analysis of the descriptive imagery ,which mainly uses description and makes the meaning easy to read and understand.The second section is the analysis of the symbolic imagery ,which mainly uses symboland makes the meaning hard to understand.The third section is the analysis of the Synaesthesia Imagery ,which mainly uses Synaesthesia and is divided into single Synaesthesia , double Synaesthesia and Holographic Synaesthesia. The fourth section is the analysis of the analogy imagery,which mainly uses analogy and divided into Simile imagery, metaphor imageryand multiple analogy imagery.The second chapter:portfolio of the the imagery of obscure poem. In this chapter,based on the portfolio, the imagery is analyzed datailedly and divided into four types. The first section is paratactic portfolio of the imagery,and is divided into parallel imagery,contrast imagery and juxtaposing imagery. The second section is Gathering and Scattering portfolio of the imagery,and is divided into Gathering imageries and Scattering imageries. The third section is Stream of Consciousness portfolio of the imagery.This section mainly analyzes the imageries basing on the Stream of Consciousness. The fourth section is Montage portfolio of the imagery and divided into three types,which are contrast Montage ,parallel Montage and repetitive Montage.The third chapter: The characteristic of the imagery of obscure poem. In this chapter,using the comparative method,the essay concludes three characteristics of the imagery of obscure poem by comparing with the imagery of the ancient poetry and imagery of the Imagism .
