| As a developing period of Chinese transition of Buddhist sutras,the Yaoqin(姚秦)Dynasty brought forward a great translator——Kumarajiva(鳩摩羅什)as well as large numbers of Chinese versions of Buddhist Sutras,and turned into a comparatively mature period,which innovated the vocabulary and semantic of the original Buddhist sutras.The Chinese versions of Buddhist sutras in the Yaoqin(姚秦) Dynasty were rich of informal idioms and of great practicability,especially those translated by Kumarajiva and accounted for about 54%.Meanwhile,being one of the largest amount,range and most complex particles,adverbs exerted extremely important effect.This thesis tried to combine above two aspects.We focuses on two kinds adverbs on range and degree in Kumarajiva's Buddhist sutras in order to describe the adverbial system,the developing foundation of semantic and Syntatic structure,therefore we can get prerequisite for futher research on the development of all the Chinese adverbs.This paper consists of four chapters without forward and referrence:Chapter 1 mainly introduces the motive,Kumarajiva and his Buddhist sutras, the definition and sorts of adverbs etc.Chapter 2 delineates and analyses adverbs on range through studying on 2 types, and draws the outline of the range adverbs.Chapter 3 focuses on the degree advers through studying 3 issues and gets their peculiarity and rules.Chapter 4 sums up Kumarajiva's feature through comparing diachrony with synchronic,statoc description with inductive analysis and different Chinese versions of sutra in order to reveal its historical status in Chinese grammar history.They succeed the old ancient together with Middle ancient character,especially the polysyllabic words.In addition,they have great effect on modern Chinese.Three brief cases on Dun(é “)and Po(é —)help obtain the grammaticalization and the mechanism of eolution through diachronic investigation on the individual adverb. |
