| Qin-Han Dynasties, being very important epochs in historical development in China, were boomed with great historians and ideologists. During that period, due to the development of the politics, economy and social situation, the historiography thoughts were profound and extensive and were planted deep in Guanzhong Area, a fertile land of regional culture. The Guanzhong Regional Culture, with the core of its geographic environment and tradition of culture, embraced the second peak of overall flourish in Qin-Han Dynasties. It was under this kind of background that history of Guanzhong in Qin-Han Dynasties had a systematic and overall development. However, the study on historiography thoughts of Qin-Han Dynasties all through the ages were focused on how it inherited from the Pre-Qin Dynasty and what was the relationship with the ethos and the aspect of philosophy, whereas the characteristics of historiography thoughts of Guanzhong Area in Qin-Han Dynasties, which had a great contribution to overall history development, were somehow neglected. If we examine the historiography thoughts in Guanzhong Area from the perspective of characteristics and difference of regional culture, and if we investigate the impact that Guanzhong Regional culture brought to historiography thoughts of Guanzhong Area in Qin-Han Dynasties, we can clearly recognize its origin and then define and position the system and the value of historiography thoughts of Guanzhong Area in Qin-Han Dynasties. The "Marginal Research", consisting of studies on culture, geography and history, provides new viewpoint when studying historiography thoughts of Guanzhong Area in Qin-Han Dynasties and also develops the local academic thoughts. It is significant for both present historical theories construction and promotion or restoration of regional culture that a good understand and inheritance of the historiography thoughts of Guanzhong Area with its original concept and the application are achieved.
