Multiple intelligences theory has been originally proposed by Howard Gardner, an American psychologist, which has attracted many educators and been interpreted by some schools in the United States. Multiple intelligences theory focuses on learners' uniqueness and states that each learner possesses all seven intelligences. All learners are of the same intelligences and of infinite potential, but exists different types of intelligences. Thus, multiple intelligences theory has provided a rich source of teaching ideas for teachers.Vocational Higher Education and General Higher Education are at the same level, but are two different types. The cultivating object in Vocational Higher Education is to develop learner's qualified practical talents. According to the investigations and analysis of the present situations of English major teaching, there are some problems in Vocational Higher Education. Thus, a case study based on multiple intelligences theory has been adopted to reform the traditional teaching model and to achieve cultivating object in Vocational Higher Education.
