A Study On The Vocabulary Of Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji

Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji (新中国未来记) whose other name is ZhongguoJinliushinian Shi is published in NEW NOWELS in 1902.The content of the book isthe author Liang qichao'imagination, and his political ideality also. To this book, thepresent researchers known on it mostly from the value of political mentality andliterature aspects, but not linguistic aspect. This phase is a trasition of linguistice whichfrom latter-day to modern times. The vocabulary of Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji is not onlyan important embodiment of the vocabulary composing in latter-day, but also aconnecting link between the preceding and the following in history of lexics. There is alot of significance and values in researching on the vocabulary of Xin Zhongguo WeilaiJi. So the thesis chooses the the vocabulary of Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji as the object ofthe research, tries to make all-sided and in-depth research on it by the means ofcombing statistic and analysis, synchronic description and diachronic comparision.And it is a study on lexis of special works in the history of Chinese language.The thesis consists of six chapters: foreword, summary visage of vocabulary,basic word, monosyllables, disyllables and polysyllables, new words. In the forewordchapter we introduce simply about the content of the book, the research meaning, thecurrent situation about the research of Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji and the research method.In the chapter of summary visage of vocabulary, we definite the standard of beingdisyllables and polysyllables. And give explanation with detailed illustration of all thewords and phrases as well. The chapters of basic words, monosyllables, disyllables andpolysyllables, new words are the mean body of this thesis. In the second chapter, wemeanly discuss the basic words, which are the cole of Chinese language. In thischapter, we ascertain what are the new words firstly, then explain the source andevolution of the somatic system and analyse contrastly of part of the basic words. Inthe third chapter, we mainly analyze the parts of speech of monosyllables, and discusstheir using and character. In the fourth chapter, we mainly analyse them by point ofview of word-building, also discuss some typical examples, analyze causes and principles of these language phenomena. Generalize to say, the totle quantity of XinZhongguo Weilai Ji words and phrases is plentiful. The number and frequency of themonosyllables, disyllables and polysyllables tell me that the disyllables andpolysyllables account for the preponderant station, and the monosyllables account forthe subordinate station, but the proportion of monosyllables is biggist too. Thephrases'combined mode of the compound syllabic composition phrases aremultifarious, includes Lianhe mode,Pianzheng mode, Shubin mode, Zhuwei mode,Buchong mode, Fujia mode and Chongdie mode,etc. Lianhe mode and Pianzhengmode are the main construction methods among them. Chapter five, researchs on newwords in Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji, firstly search new words in the book, and theninvestigate them in syllable'number and the phrases'combined mode.Xin Zhongguo Weilai Ji words and phrases are an important composition in thedevelopment history of the latter-day Chinese language phrases. It plays an inherit andtransmit function in the Chinese language phrases'history. It has a significant value oflanguage material and plays a successive poly in the history of Chinese language.
