"A Pair Of Pyramids" In Chinese Modern Culture History

This paper's compared with researching objects are Wang Guowei and Lu Xun,who were prescience knowledges in Chinese near modern culture and literature history.Its goal is to discuss what were these two men's spiritual way and their contribution of prescience nature",thus it can provide beneficial "historical reference"and "historical enlightenment"for modern intellectuals.This paper is composed by five parts.The first part is introduction,which discusses the reasons,the goals and the value of this paper,and the same time cultural context and the same questions which Wang Guowei and Lu Xun both confronted in.The second part discusses the same and different points of philosophy of life and fulfillment ways.Facing life tragedy,they all had "desparis" experience,but they formed the different philosophy of life:Wang Guowei's philosophy of life and practice way were "extricates despairs",who throughoutly payed attention to himself;Lu Xun's philosophy of life and practice way were "the revolt despairs",who payed attention to the individual and society's union.The third part discusses when Wang Guowei and Lu Xun faced cultural flood tide of China and the West connection,their similarities and differences in cultural choices:The same points were that they understood the value of China and the West culture,and constructed cultural resources based on their own main body creativities.Thus,in their cultural choice strategies,"taking now"and "restoring the old" were the same alike,but the differences were Wang Guowei's strategy was from "taking now"to "restoring the old"and persisted "restoring the old",and Lu Xun's strategy was both "taking now"and "restoring the old",than he went out "restoring the old"and "setting up the new ancestor"at last.The fourth part discusses the similarities and differences in literature idea,literary style choice and literature achievement and contribution. In literature idea, they emphasised literary "ontology",and objected literary "tool theory".When did these,they demanded literary "value theory" simultaneously.But the differences was that Wang Guowei persisted intrinsic utility facing self- individual,and Lu Xun persisted social utility facing common custom immediately.In literary style choice,because of various complex reasons,Wang Guowei's choice was sole ancient poetry,and Lu Xun's choice was diverse new-vernacular literature,including new poetry,new novel,and new prose. In literature achievement and contribution,the same point was that they both had the characteristic of fusioning "tradition"and "modren" in literature creation and language body;the different points were that Wang Guowei put "modren" innate nature into ancient poetry and commentary,but Lu Xun's new novel and essay contained "tradition"innate nature.The fifth part is conclusion,in which based on above elaboration,this part will summary two different styles of prescience knowledges,in order to provide beneficial "historical reference"and "historical enlightenment"for modern intellectuals.
