Sun Quan's Politics And The Rise And Decline Of Wu Dynasty

Using the method of textual and analysis research, based on the changes of the thought of Sun Quan, the article studies the relations of the prosperous and decline of Wu Dynasty and the political activities of Sun Quan.First of all, this article analyses a series of contradictions inside and outside which Sun Quan faced after he was in power. With the help of Zhang Zhao and Zhou Yu etc, with the manner of equal and democracy, Sun Quan invited to side men of wisdom and valor and formulated a series of systems which attracted The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River ,who entered in Sun-Wu regime. The people who lived a wandering life and The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River gained some priorities in economy, politics and military through these systems. The threaten from outside was decreased, while the force of The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River increased sharply .The thought of centralization of state power to Sun Quan deepened, while the manner of equal and democracy weakened . After the political incidents of Lv Yi case and the conflict between two princes, the strength of The Great Families of eastern Yangtse was weakened. While reduced the rule foundation of Sun-Wu seriouslyand the political darkness and reduction of national power at the later period of Sun-Wu, and leaded to the destruction of Sun-Wu.Besides the preface and conclusion, the article consists of four chapters. The first chapter discusses the internal contradiction after Sun Quan was in power. The second chapter analyses the class origin of Sun Quan and the contradiction inside and outside was existing in Sun-Wu at that time which effected on Sun Quan. The third chapter discusses that Sun Quan formulated a series of systems under the thoughts instruction of sharing benefit in the equality, so that the force of The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River was increased sharply .The fourth chapter discussed The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River position was weakened because of Lu Yi case and the conflict between two princes ,and Sun Quan's monarchical power became stronger and stronger . But The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River was basement of Sun-Wu, To weaken The Great Families of eastern Yangtse River position made the strength of Sun-Wu much weaker. In the end, it became one of important factors which destroyed Sun's power.
