Research On The Thinking Method Of Artistic Design

As a kind of innovation, the overall meaning of artistic design is the creation of extraordinary things. Being a main form of the human intellectual activities, thinking is a human brain's indirect and abstract reflection of the objective world. The core of artistic design is creative thinking which runs through the whole designing activity. The connotation of creation lies in the breakthrough of the constraints of original things. With its unique ideas and forms, creation reflects human beings' goals including the active reform of the objective world and the exploration of new value systems and living styles.The research on the thinking method of artistic design includes two parts. The first part is the comparative analysis of the nature, feature and types of artistic design, especially the detailed research on creative thinking which is closely related to artistic design. The second part is a systematic conformity of the methods adopted in artistic design. This paper thoroughly explores the application principle, program and demands of brainstorming which is widely used in artistic design and industrial design. It also gives a detailed description and generalization of the hypothesis method, the enumeration method, the association method, the assembled method, and other methods such as 5W2H, six hats thinking method.With systematology as its guiding principle, this paper adopts interdisciplinary coordinating method and a technical line which combines theory with practice. Employing the basic theories in artistic design, thinking science and creation methodology, it targets at the nature, features and functions of artistic design. The paper also investigates and concludes the developing trend of effective thinking modes, innovating methods and designing practice. The innovation and achievement of this paper lies in the conclusion of the ordinary creative thinking method in common sense through the analysis of substantial relevant documents and the adoption of inductive and deductive methods. By comparing and analyzing many creative artistic design methods, the paper helps readers find the most valuable principle and method through summarization, comparison and judgment. It also plays a special emphasis on the integrated research about special thinking methods applied to and creative design. The paper emphasizes interdisciplinary mixture and it also gives consideration to practical needs of design art study and the demands of professional students to improve their thinking abilities.
