Zhanghua is an important writer of Tai Kang era. Due to his prominent political status and his inclination to appreciate others, he played a leading role among writers in the initial period of West Jin Dynasty. According to historical records , when Zuosi finished his San Du Fu, he enjoyed so high reputation that aristocrats struggled to get a copy just because of Zhanghua's high praise . However, previous scholars paid far less attention to Zhanghua than to Luji, Panyue. Such phenomenon probably resulted from Zhongrong's prejudice and undoubtedly has undermined the research of Xi Jin literature. For the reason mentioned above, the writer chooses the topic. This paper has three parts. The first part is foreword which includes Zhanghua's brief experience, introduction of Zhanghua's literary creation, criticism of a Zhongrong's statement and a comprehensive study on Zhanghua's poems . The second part is the main text. In this part the writer collected Zhanghua's poems, collated and annotated them. The last part is appendix. It includes a list of some Zhanghua's poems in chronological order , the compilation of comments on Zhanghua's poems , and the booklist related to this paper.
