Study On Andai Ritual And Its Music Feature

The ritual of treating illness and exorcism is the common subject of the folk conviction in many nations in China. Different nations and different areas have different ritual features. Some ancient religious and folk ceremonial ritual activities have combined with music and dancing to form the etiquette and custom of fete through music and dancing. Andai, the ritual of treating illness and exorcism characterized most with Mongolian culture custom, is born and developed under the particular social culture life, social economy and social organism structure. It has experienced the process of"ancient structure–breaking apart-reconstruction"and now developed into a new art, of which its deep culture connotation exists in every movement of dancing and song.Today, the art formation about music and dancing in Andai ritual, advocated and extended greatly by the culture administration and participated by the masses, has developed into a square art of music and dancing. Furthermore, Andai has put on the stage through the adaptation and innovation by some professional art groups to create the new history of stage show to embody the precious art value of it.The culture connotation and art features of Andai were analyzed deeply in this paper from its ritual structure, music structure, characters and so on.
