Research On The Failure Of Taisho Democracy

From 1920s to 1930s , there have been a democratic time in Japan's Political History. Marked by Yuan Cabinet , Common elections ,Japan have shown the potency to transform into a Constitutional Monarchy country, and this time was called Taisho Democracy .However , Taisho Democracy hasn't kept a long time ,when the world economic crisis was broken out in the 1930,it's worldwide impacts also affected Japan. Japan imperialism taken over the state by the chances of a series of coups in 1930s.Based on the research summed up by predecessors and guided in the Marxist theories , this dissertation studied the Taisho Democracy from three aspects ,economic basis ,superstructure constitute, ideological and to analyze what caused the failure of Taisho Democracy. Otherwise, some Authoritarianisms can draw reasons from the failure of Taisho Democracy.
