Studies On Modernity Phenomenon Of The Chronicle Play Since The 1990's

The TV chronicle play which the author pays attention to study is history positive play. Since 1990, there is a peculiar literature phenomenon among the production of chronicle play, the literature criticism on the one hand and the view with admiration on the other. The increased production of chronicle play is like a raging fire, while the heated harsh literature criticism on chronicle play and the outstanding high audience rating on chronicle play form a sharp contrast. These elements compose a great fantastic colorful literature painting. The author believes that the play's modernity is the key to explain the above phenomenon. On one side, the modernity is becoming one important aesthetics principle of play's originator who wants to express the thought of reality as well as explaining the history. On the other side, the modernity is becoming another important aesthetics principle of audience who are interested in viewing the play because they find the same feeling between the chronicle play and the real society. The article includes two parts, besides four chapters of main body. There are foreword and epilogue. In the first chapter, the author narrates the birth of the modernity. In the second chapter, the article presents the analysis of the representation of the modernity. In the third chapter, the author points out the significance of the modernity. In the last chapter, the author attempts to find the blemish question of chronicle play's modernity.
