The historiography of England in seventeenth century didn't make prominent progress.But the English history publication was stimulated and went to prosperity by the development of publishing technology , the carrying trade and traffic improvement which help the circulation of book, and the literacy development favored by the education revolution .The chronicle declined and was replaced by other kinds of history which more suited the temporal desire from content to form.The persuit of economy result in the form of a network market including publication, packaging,distribution,collection and reading .The history book was more seasoned with the reader,and the connection between history book making and reader's reading went to compactness.The history book entered into reader's hand through book-shop sale,auction and secondhand market.The market running was excellent. As for the purpose of history reading ,pragmatism is evidence to the statesmen.The common reader's purpose of history reading was not only for the sake of politics,but also for the learning, education of gentleman style and the sociality.Morality was not the only function and the entertainment became a more important complication to attract more readership .The choice of history reading had nothing to do with the reader's status .History reading was not technically for the upper-class ,and it became common for Englishman in seventeenth century.
