Seng Zhao's ontology developed from two kinds of theory: theory of Dwelling -in-nature and the doctrine of"The emptiness of the unreal".And his learning originates from Nāgārjuna's"the existence is illusion and its nature is emptiness."and Guo Xiang's theory of thing's self-transformation. Theory of Dwelling-in-nature elucidates time and actuality; The doctrine of"The emptiness of the unreal"elucidates noumenon and phenomena; and this two are unified by the conception of Praj?apti's existence . Beginning with Seng Zhao's work, the ontology of Chinese Buddhism outspreads from two aspects: Praj?apti's being and"Praj?apti is actuality", and constantly finished its Chinese-Characterization .Contrastively, Indian Buddhism is negative and western philosophers call it passive ontology. While Chinese Buddhism is positive, From the first appearance of the doctrine of nirvana to Jingtu Buddhist's praying to Buddha, the faith of the secret noumenon runs throng. But that impairs Chinese Buddhism's religion consciousness and supermundane care. Seng Zhao's viewing sunya without neglecting existence and his continuator's"perfect world"separately represents Chinese Buddhist ontology's beginning and accomplishment. For this especial charm Chinese Buddhism formed another origin of Buddhism of the east Asia in place of Indian Buddhism.
