This paper attempts to analysis the development of Blue Calico and its artistic style dress in Nantong according to the geographical and economic factors, in order to preserve and transmit of the blue printed cloth and clothing goods Nantong, and explore its cultural values and design value in modern society.Through access to the completion of this extensive literature, as a theoretical basis for the thesis, as well as to conduct actual research, I have personally experienced the artistic atmosphere of the Blue Calico and to collect folk costumes blue printed cloth materials, as a thesis based on which analysis and summarized conclusion on the Blue Calico in NanTong.This paper supplies a number of new insights into the academic world, the costumes for the Blue Calico in Nantong on the basis of theoretical studies. There is a big gap in the theory on the certain aspects of this paper, the authors hope to be able to fill the gap in the Blue Calico Dress theory, and provide a basis for studying the theory for future research.
