Tao Yuanming In The Culture Background Of The Metaphysics

This paper concentrates on discussing the influence of the metaphysics on Tao Yuanming. In the culture background of the metaphysics, the paper shows how Tao Yuanming does become a genuine practitioner of the metaphysics in the Dong-Jin Dynastyies, and how he tries to inherit and surpass Xuanyan poems in his poems, we try to have a clear interpretation to this subject.To support the thesis,the paper is developed into four majaor parts.The firs part explains Heart of Vulgar gentleman and Boundary of sage. Heart of Vulgar gentleman is an ordinary gentleman person who pursues free of mind and merger into a single whole with Tao. Sage is an ideal personality in the Dongjin Dynasty. Boundary of sage is a highest boundary which Vulgar gentleman pursues.The second part emphatically analyzes the course which Tao Yuanming transcends the worldly and merges into a single whole with Tao on the basis of his life experience,analyzing from three aspects: youth education, serve as an official experiences, return to farming countryside. First, Tao Yuanming receives the influence of the Confucianism of and the metaphysics in his youth.second, Tao Yuanming has a special official experience.He becomes an official and dismisses for five times, repeatedly.Older generation's prominent merit mark and the traditional Confucianist educates causes him to harbor the intense salvation ideal to become an official,but the dark society does not gather with his political ideal. Not only his unique life style enables him to maintain the independent individuality and the harmonious of innermost feelings, but also can maintain the harmony with the nature, social, the person. Tao Yuanming has absorbed two spirits ingredients which he pursues in Taoism and the Confucianist by own individuality, and has a successful practice with his life.They become his life style and characteristic individuality.He tills the fields personally in countryside and persisted poor remembers firmly.
