In the relationship between Wuji and Taiji and the priority between Li and Qi,Cao-Duan has the same opinion with Zhu-Xi. At the same time, he develops thetheory of Zhu-Xi. In Zhu-Xi's eyes, Taiji can't be active, which means that Qi isstronger than Li, Li can't control Qi and the behavior of human beings mustn'taccord to the rule of Li. This is a difficulty in Zhu-Xi's system. To solve this problem,Cao-Duan points out that Taiji can be active, which makes Taiji can actually lead themovement of Qi. Basing on this concept, he regards that the heart is Taiji and thatmaking effort directly in the heart would make Li control Qi. Then the heart iscompletely Li and the behavior of human beings will accord to the rule of Li. By thisway, Cao-Duan's theory has some character of Xin School and makes difference fromZhu-Xi.
