Based on the viewpoints of the modern pedagogic, the summary of the experience of the Chinese teaching practice, and the modern society's appeal for humanism qualities i. e., the thesis rethinks correspondingly the present situation and problems of the Chinese teaching in colleges, and analyses the social requirements for people's qualities. By combining the former two, it makes a research on the practice of the Chinese teaching in colleges and other related subjects, and discusses how to develop human cultural qualities of the modern college students from such aspects as the student, the teacher, the teaching process and the teaching materials, so as to promote the development of college students in society and the prosperity of our society. In the specific analysis, it pays attention not to indulging in empty talk about principles and regulations, but to combining the teaching materials and the teaching methods to ensure real examples and evidences. Dealing with all the new teaching methods dialectically, it absorbs their advantages, and meanwhile tries to maintain the advantages of the Chinese course in colleges itself, so as not to waste its own merits.The main part of this thesis consists of four chapters, with the introduction ahead and the conclusion aback. In the introduction, it mainly discusses the present situation of the research on the Chinese course in colleges and illustrates its expounding perspective.Chapter 1 is about the present situation of the Chinese course in colleges and human cultural qualities. The development of the Chinese course in colleges is not so smooth, but it becomes mature with the social development. What's more, the education of human cultural qualities has enriched the research on its teaching, teaching materials, and teaching methods.Chapter 2 deals with several concepts about the Chinese course in colleges and the education of human cultural qualities. As regards the quality education, many people are not clear about its concept, and even vaguer about the concept of the education of human cultural qualities, which this chapter mainly defines.Chapter 3 discusses the controversy between the present situation of the Chinese teaching in colleges and the education of human cultural qualities. In the teaching practice of the Chinese course in colleges, it is unavoidable to think over the conflicts between the teaching content and the teaching period, in the appropriateness of the teaching materials, in the various problems in the group of the teachers and the development of human cultural qualities.Chapter 4 deals with how to realize the education of human cultural qualities in the teaching of the Chinese course in colleges. In the teaching process, book knowledge should be combined with the students' personalities to realize the development of cultural qualities. It should cultivate people of creative abilities, which is also the most important part of the essence of human cultural qualities in modern times.The conclusion makes a brief presentation of the main viewpoint of this thesis.
