On The Style Of Wei Zhuang's Poems

Wei Zhuang is a prominent writer in Late Tang Dynasty & Five Dynasties,who has been studied by many of researchers up to now. But as to the style of his poems, it still is necessary to further study and discussion. The topic of this thesis to study is just main styles of Wei Zhuang's poems,namely"fresh"and"gloomy".After telling the study object and summarizing the situation to the styles of Wei Zhuang's poems at the academic field,the introduction brieves the study scope ,contents and purpose on this text.The first chapter discusses"fresh".Analysing the means of"Qing Ci Li Ju",tracing the original meaning of the word"Qing Li"according to the stylistic category, and searching for its implications, this chapter primarily inquires the two essential factors in the formation of"Qing Li".One is the aesthetic subject (i.e.the poet) pursues the serene and leisure life,another is to select the aesthetic objects and color them fresh and bright.The second chapter explicates"gloomy"."Gloominess"is indeed existed in Wei Zhuang's poems. With regard to the statement of Hu Zhenhen in Ming Dynasty:"Wei Zhuang's poems arenot implicit to empress and deep to imply."However, the fact isn't so.This chapter elaborates it from the mild form of expression and the profound feeling.The third chapter expounds the unity of"freshness"and"gloominess". I think that some of Wei Zhuang's poems usually take the form of"fresh words and deep feeling"to appear the unite aesthetic style. And this text explains the signs in terms of themes and contents, images and means.On the basis of making a comprehensive survey to the circle of poets in Late Tang Dynasty, the conclusion briefly interprets the representativeness of Wei Zhuang's poems'style.
