Abstract/Summary:
On the question of the prosperity of Ci poem in Qing dynasty, former critics have made much discussion. But present academic circles pay much more attention on Yangxian Ci Poetic School and Zhexi Ci Poetic School and to some extent ignore the situation of Ci circle in the former tens of years. There are even less scholars who pay attention on the achievement of Wang Yu-yang on Ci poetry and his attribution to Ci circle of the early Qing Dynasty. Thus the author tries to combine the two to make research and historicize and analyze the Ci achievements of Wang Yu-yang in the general background of Ci circle of early Qing Dynasty. Through this analysis, and through the research on Ci creation and Ci theory of Wang Yu-yang himself, and through the deep exploration of the Guangling Ci Poetic Circle led by Wang Yu-yang, the author tries to explore the important attribution of Wang Yu-yang to the prosperity of Ci poetry in Qing Dynasty. And all these achievement were closely related to his own talent, the rank of his family and his political achievements in Yangzhou. It is history that makes Wang Yu-yang an important Ci poet of early Qing dynasty. The method this thesis adopts is justified according to the thought of"result—cause--result". That is, for the result of the prosperity of Ci poetry in Qing dynasty, one of the important causes is the propelling of Wang Yu-yang. This propelling result is because of various other absolute and coincident causes. Thus this study is creative for its adoption of such a logic and its comprehensively and deeply analysis of the influence of his Ci poetic theory and Ci poetry creation and the activities of Guangling Ci Clan to the prosperity of Ci poetry in Qing dynasty and the inevitability of the appearance of this influence.
