This article attempt, from the angle of religional psychology, to analyze the peculiarity of the celebrated Japanese author Yasanuri Kawabata's personality and a gradual changing tendency of the thought reflected from his workers, so as to expound the ultimate concern from religion to those to identify themselves with introversional religional thought. The text contains three parts: an introduction,to apply psychoanalysis theory ---Erikson's life cycle theory---to analyze the personality developing peculiarity of Yasanuri Kawabata,to apply psychoanalysis to analyze the gradual changing tendency of the thought reflected from his workers.Erikson's study, which is from an angle of a psychoanalysiser, moved towards religion research naturally. One of his important contributions is personality developing theory centering on the ego. From which he formed psychoanalysis that is to lay emphasis on ego developing and regulating. One's personality that has a characteristic of gradualism has changed all the time from babyhood to one's old age. He bringed up a dynamic personality developing model concerned with religion, and believe that being and ultimate question is the core of the personality developing issue. We can find that Yasanuri Kawabata had been searching for his identity and found ultimate care from religion.I conclude that Yasanuri Kawabata, as a man having introversal religion belief, had been pursuing for authentic reliance all the time .Religion provided him ego identity. The author used literature to express his pursuing of ultimate concern.
