In the American history of literature, the novels of adolescents'growth have been holding a prominent status. The reason why growth novels have been prolonged in US is that in each age there were different themes puzzling adolescents'growth and different spirit of the times provided different thoughts and ways for people facing the growth puzzle. The constant changes of social environment and age spirit added eternal fresh ideas and vigor to the novels. The main cultural ideological trend of different ages in America obtained powerful manifestation in the growth novels, including typical American culture values, such as individualism, feminism, multicultural principle and so on.After the 1960s Blacks'Civil Right Movement and Feminist Movement, the essence of American culture changed. In the past, issues such as edge race, edge community's social position, religious belief, life customs that people avoided talking about were embodied in these movements. Furthermore, widespread and thorough discussion on these issues resulted in a kind of new cultural values, namely multicultural principle, which, in the mutual collision with traditional single nucleus values, gradually expanded and got to affect every aspect of the US social life, also this change was embodied in the creation of American growth novel.This paper discusses growth novels in American Judaic literature which became the mainstream after World War II under the background that American multicultural ideological trend rises. Take The Adventures of Augie Marchthe of the most famous American Judiac novelist---Saul Bellow for example, the paper further discusses the common theme of minority race's growth novels, that is to say, dilemmathe problem of status choice and beloning puzzle which the minority race adolescents have to face in neterogeny culture environment.
